 | Qty=1Size=750 ml, RP[92]"1989 appears to be Raveneau's finest vintage since 1986 and 1978. The most opulent is the 1989 Chablis-Blanchots. While there is extraordinary intensity to this chewy, big, lusty Chablis, the tropical fruit-scented nose offers up less of the gunflint, cold steel/wet stone aromas Chablis is famous for. Since it is lower in acidity than the other Raveneau wines, I would opt for drinking it over the next decade. What is so amazing about this offering from Raveneau is that while a muscular example of Chablis, it tastes refreshing and never heavy - a remarkable achievement." - Robert Parker, robertparker.com (Feb 20, 1992) |
