Medium to full-bodied, with excellent depth and precision, it offers an earthy, sweet, cassis-scented nose and long, ripe flavors. It will reward cellaring of 4-5 years and drink well for at least 12. The 1991 releases may turn out to be the most complete Gouges wines in over two decades.
