| Qty=3Size=750 ml"The remarkable thing about the 1990 vintage of red burgundy is that the lowly esteemed appellations have made fine wines. This may be the first vintage where so much good red burgundy has been made at such a reasonable price. Merchants should have plenty of delicious generic wines to sell that can be purchased without remortgaging your home. This effort from Joillot exhibits a saturated deep ruby color, and an intense, sweet, jammy nose intertwined with scents of smoky new oak. Although there is not much complexity in the mouth at the moment, there is super richness and ripeness, a wonderful chewy texture, and plenty of length and intensity. Another 6-12 months of bottle age should cause more nuances to emerge. This delicious red burgundy represents a terrific bargain. Drink it over the next decade." - Robert Parker, robertparker.com (Jun 22, 1992) |
