| | Qty=3Size=750 ml, RP[92-93]"The 2016 Ried Steinertal Grüner Veltliner Smaragd is from the coolest Grüner Veltliner single vineyard of the Pichler family, with sandy gneiss and granite soils. The 2016 opens with a clear and fresh but also intense fruit aroma that is still a bit discreet on the nose. The attack on the palate is really fresh and piquant due to remarkable acidity. The wine is pure and mineral, shows a good phenolic grip and reveals white fruit aromas like yellow-skinned apples. The finish is clear, fresh and grippy and shows some attractive crispy fruit flavors. This is a lean, elegant, well balanced, medium to full-bodied Grüner Veltliner with less than 13% alcohol.
