The Horse Shoe wasn’t made in 2013, but the 2014 Horse Shoe displays plenty of licorice, almost scorched volcanic earth, loamy soil and wet rocks. There’s huge minerality running through this dense, concentrated wine, with loads of black fruits, supple tannins, and a full-bodied, multi-layered mouthfeel.
